Vietjet is moving ahead with its strategic network expansion initiatives, making significant strides into the Indian market. The airline has launched its inaugural direct flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Kochi.

This flight establishes a milestone as the first and sole direct air link between Vietnam and Kerala, a state in India renowned for its historical significance and southwestern charm.

The flight service operates four times weekly – on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday – facilitating seamless travel between the two nations. The five-hour journey opens doors for enhanced tourism and economic growth, fostering stronger ties between Vietnam and India.

This development brings particularly positive implications for travelers commuting between Kuala Lumpur and Kochi. With the flight route, passengers now have increased flexibility and affordable travel alternatives. Furthermore, a daily operation is in place, offering direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The introduction of this new route to Cochin International Airport, alongside the recently revealed Ho Chi Minh City – Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) service, will result in a total of 35 weekly flights connecting Vietnam and India. These services encompass eight direct routes, linking Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Tiruchirappalli.

In conjunction of this launch, Vietjet has introduced a special promotion offering tickets from as low as US$0 (excluding tax and fees). This promotional fare is available every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for Ho Chi Minh – Kochi flights, as well as all routes connecting Vietnam to international destinations, including the Kuala Lumpur – Ho Chi Minh City route. This offer is valid until December 31, 2023.

To seize these pocket-friendly travel opportunities, interested passengers can secure their tickets conveniently via www.vietjetair.com or the user-friendly Vietjet Air mobile app. Travelers can take advantage of this promotion until March 31, 2024, with the exception of public holidays.
