UOB Malaysia has officially launched its Kuala Lumpur (KL) Main branch located at the new headquarters, UOB Plaza 1 KL. With the relocation, the bank has also reinvented the setup of this flagship branch by providing more experiential spaces to deliver an enhanced personalised customer experience through face-to-face conversations and customised banking advisory and solutions.
Ng Wei Wei, CEO, UOB Malaysia said, “UOB KL Main Branch is our flagship branch and has been serving our customers’ banking needs for close to four decades. We are now proud to relocate it to our new headquarters and have redesigned the space to focus more on customer engagement and advisory.
“Its contemporary new look represents our commitment to innovation and personalised service, blending in functionality, comfort and technology.”
The reconfiguration of KL Main branch is part of UOB Malaysia’s branch transformation strategy to cater to the increasing consumer demand for personalised wealth advisory and to serving businesses.
The bank implemented this strategy to support the transformation of its branches nationwide and will complete 14 by the end of 2023. It aims to redesign all its branches in the next five years.
The KL Main branch houses a banking hall and exclusive space for UOB Wealth Banking and business customers on the ground floor. While the branch is surrounded by the building’s external greeneries, the interior is designed as an open space concept that incorporates the elements of wellness, technology, inclusiveness, and sustainability.
Apart from enjoying over-the-counter services, customers can also have conversations with the bank’s relationship managers privately in dedicated engagement areas.
The branch’s mezzanine floor is an elegantly-designed wealth centre, comprising a modern contemporary lounge area for UOB Privilege Banking customers. Customers are welcome to relax and enjoy refreshments at the coffee bar, around the lounge or in private meeting rooms while engaging their dedicated client advisors in consultation.
Ng said, “In the digital era where banking is just a few clicks away, there are services that can only be fulfilled with the warmth of a human touch. Hence, we will continue to drive our omni-channel approach, to serve our customers the way they want it, be it through our branches or digitally.
“Our branches will progressively evolve into multi-functional spaces curated to cultivate deeper, long-lasting relationships with our customers. We will also continue to invest in our digital touchpoints to give our customers the on-the-go convenience.”
The KL Main Branch is open on Mondays to Fridays, 9.30 am to 4.00 pm. For more information log on to uob.my/default/uob-branch-locator.
