Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) recently celebrated the third anniversary of its high-speed broadband service, UniFi, together with its business customers at Tropicana City Mall, in Petaling Jaya in a simple yet exciting bash. Together with two other celebratory events held concurrently at two (2) other locations in Penang (Sunway Hotel, Seberang Jaya) and Johor (Pelangi Golf Driving Range), the events were organised especially to show the Company’s appreciation for its UniFi customers from the SME segment for choosing TM as their preferred communications partner in Malaysia.
Commenting on the anniversary, Azizi A. Hadi, Executive Vice President, SME, TM who was at the event in Petaling Jaya said, “This year marks the third birthday of UniFi and we are excited UniFi has grown by leaps and bounds and to date, TM already more than 520,000 UniFi customers nationwide including over 78,100 SME customers. The events were also held to create awareness and hype among its UniFi Biz customers on the availability of its HyppTV for Business packages as well as its HyppTV Airtime Packages where interested parties may opt to advertise their products and services on HyppTV, ready for subscription at a low monthly rate.
Previously only offered to its residential subscribers, HyppTV is now accessible to TM’s business customers since November 2012 as one of UniFi Biz’s Value Added Services (VAS). With the latest content available on this IPTV service offering, now even business subscribers can enrich their businesses by providing an exciting infotainment experience for their own clients.
HyppTV for Business guarantees uninterrupted and crystal clear transmission regardless of the weather condition, allowing the viewers to enjoy great variety of shows and programmes in HD. Among the available channels are Local and Regional News, Business News, Sports, Lifestyle/Entertainment, Music, Free-to-Air and Interactive channels. There are also two (2) bundled packages for customers to choose from – FOX Package and STAR Chinese Package:
- Fox Package – Comprising four (4) channels – Fox Crime HD, Nat Geo Adventure HD, Nat Geo Music, Channel M (previously known as tvN HD)
- STAR Chinese package – Comprising three (3) channels – Channel[V] Taiwan, STAR Chinese channel, SCM Legend
Also offered as an anniversary goodie, a one-time Special Hot Deals were made available to existing UniFi customers where they can get FREE package upgrade and enjoy their new upgraded package at the rate of their previous package for the first 3 months. At the same time, new customers can also get a one (1) month waiver and 30 days FREE viewing of channels on HyppTV for Business when they subscribe to any of UniFi Biz packages during the event.
Customers who subscribed to UniFi for Business packages and other TM products during the events were also entitled to be in the running to win prizes which included special Manchester United and Team Malaysia merchandise through the TM Rewards Lucky Draw and an iPad Mini through TM Rewards auctions.
Also making its presence at the event was Yellow Pages, Malaysia’s No.1 business directory, which provided visitors with tips on how to advertise via the ever familiar yellow coloured directory. Business Clinics and Business Networking sessions were also conducted during the events to assist SMEs in propelling their business further. Renowned tech bloggers from Amanz.my also thrilled visitors with their know-how during tech and gadget update sessions.
UniFi is currently available in 100 exchange areas covering more than 1.377 million premises passed including key economic and industrial zones in Klang Valley, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, Kulim Hi-Tech Park and the Iskandar Malaysia area.
Currently, UniFi Biz packages offered are BIZ5, BIZ10, BIZ20, BIZ30 and BIZ50, specifically tailored for business subscribers.
