The Community Chest, an independent, not-for–profit, non-governmental charitable organization set up by the private sector to focus on education, has announced a partnership with Dell to launch an E-Classroom programme that is set to enhance the learning experience for Malaysian students. The launch was held at the SJK (C) La Salle in Sri Petaling.

“The E-Classroom programme is designed to transform and improve the quality of education by introducing technology into schools. Our objective is to help students achieve academic excellence by improving the resources available within the classroom,” said Tan Kong Han, Administrator of The Community Chest.

“Dell is a big advocate of education and youth initiatives aimed at helping the leaders of tomorrow thrive,” explained KT Ong, general manager for Commercial Business, Dell Sales Malaysia, at the launch of the E-Classroom programme. “We are pleased to work with The Community Chest to enhance the learning outcomes of Malaysian students through access to the latest technologies.”

Delighted with the donation, Chai Boey Kiat, headmistress of SJK (C) La Salle said, “We are glad to be part of the E-Classroom programme as we recognize that technology can play a key role in the school curriculum. The students and teachers will certainly benefit from using the technology to learn, communicate and work together in their daily lessons. The programme supports our goal to prepare students for further education and the workplace of the future.”
