Thailand’s inaugural e-mobility exhibition, known as Future Mobility Asia 2022, has garnered international attention drawing more than 80 brands. As of now, 14 companies from Singapore, 9 from India and 4 from Malaysia are participating as exhibitors with Singapore products ranging from e-tuk tuk, autonomous shuttles, and electric two-wheelers to flying taxis.
Some of the participating brands at event, slated from 20-22 July, are:
Singapore
- Geko (owner of Singapore’s first premium EV motorcycle brand)
- Kilats (electric motorbikes and ecosystem)
- Ion Mobility (electric motorbikes and energy storage solutions)
- Hong Seh (featuring Silence electric scooters)
India
- The eplane co (flying taxi for city commuting)
- Bolt (India’s largest EV charging network)
- Tsuyo (powertrain products for EV)
Malaysia
- Eclimo (100% Malaysian-owned electric motorcycle and battery pack company)
This will also be the first time that the Thai government is collaborating with commercial companies and universities to support an e-mobility event, to encourage foreign partnerships and investments as Thailand positions itself as the key electric vehicle hub in Asean.
With this solid support, memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between Singapore and Thai partners will be signed at the event, including Singapore companies such as Durapower and Goldbell group. The MoUs are expected to establish a strong local ecosystem to capture opportunities in the fast-growing electric vehicle segment and support the smart mobility market in Thailand
Additionally, the show will also feature the Thailand Clean Mobility Showcase by the Ministry of Energy and supported by its Board of Investments, state-owned companies and other institutions. The showcase will be on the government initiatives and investment plans, EV production plans, commercial EV charging projects and partnerships toward achieving 30% EV production by 2030. Innovations such as e-tuktuk and autonomous shuttles will be demonstrated at the event.
Visitors to the event will also get to try out the electric 3-wheeler and cars from FOMM and Onion Mobility and experience the next generation of transportation.
