The ongoing success of the Taiwan Expo, now in its seventh consecutive year in Malaysia, is underpinned by the support of the Malaysian chambers of commerce and industry.
The expo’s diverse spectrum spans vital sectors including information and communication technology, Industry 4.0 solutions, green technology, carbon reduction innovations, smart healthcare advancements, and a variety of consumer-oriented delights like halal cuisine, beauty products, skincare, and fashion trends.
This comprehensive range of offerings aims to not only captivate the interest of visitors but also provide Malaysian businesses with innovative ideas and applications, facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships.
The pre-scheduled one-on-one business matchmaking sessions have already surpassed 1,080, collectively representing a staggering estimated business opportunity value of US$48 million. These substantial figures underscore the robust partnership that Taiwan and Malaysia continue to nurture.
Acknowledging Malaysia’s significant Muslim market, the Taiwan Halal Center has successfully expanded its presence into Malaysia’s 7-Eleven retail channels through the Taiwan Halal Food Festival.
Building on the triumph of the previous year, the second Taiwanese Halal Food Cooking Contest will be scheduled for 26 August. Malaysian chefs, Chef Jo and Chef Riz, will assume the role of judges, while competing teams from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) strive to secure victory in this esteemed culinary competition.
In addition, attendees are offered a chance to win round-trip air tickets for the Taipei-Kuala Lumpur route, provided by airlines including China Airlines, EVA Air, and Starlux Airlines.
