Taiwan Excellence Earth Month, sparking global sustainable change, is currently trending on social media in Malaysia.

Show your love for the Earth through your green habits! Taiwan Excellence is trending on Malaysian social media with its “One Good Habit, Love the Earth” campaign, highlighting Taiwan’s advancements in environmental sustainability. Taiwan Excellence is calling for Malaysians to embrace green living habits to not only protect the Earth but also win a round-trip ticket between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei.

Taiwan Excellence has long been a strong advocate and trendsetter in the push for sustainability and launched its “Go Green with Taiwan” global proposal campaign this June. As part of the overall campaign, Taiwan Excellence collaborated with Malaysian artist Kenji, renowned for his ecological-themed works, to create a stunning mural at Subang’s SMK SS17 featuring the Malaya tiger.

Coinciding with Global Tiger Day on July 29, Taiwan Excellence hopes to inspire the public to adopt more sustainable practices into their lives and do their part in safeguarding the future.

“One Good Habit, Love the Earth” is a global sustainable initiative created to encourage people to make small changes in their daily lives and develop simple yet effective green habits. It has already inspired tens of thousands of people to take action through various online and offline activities. Featured regions include the United States, the European Union, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia.

The challenge prompts participants to adopt environmentally friendly actions for 21 days, such as using reusable water bottles or turning off lights when leaving a room. Consistent small actions over time can create impactful habits and the organizer hopes that this will pave the way to greater changes.

Participants in Malaysia stand a chance to win from a total of 95 attractive prizes including automatic stove shut-off device from Yztek, portable disinfectant device from Eleclean, world’s smallest portable water filter from Mbran Filtra, and 5α scalp care from Aromase. The grand prize is a round-trip ticket between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei. The challenge is open to all and only three simple steps are required to join the challenge:

  2. Share photos of your econ-friendly habits on Facebook or Instagram.
  3. Tag Taiwan Excellence’s Malaysia Facebook or Instagram account with the hashtags #OneGoodHabitLoveTheEarth #21DaysAction #TELoveTheEarth #My21DaysAction.

Other than the photo challenge listed above, Taiwan Excellence also plans two physical events in August and September. The August event is a collaboration with Seeds Malaysia and SJKC Yoke Kuan in Sekinchan, Selangor, to plant 50 trees as a gesture towards protecting the Earth.

The September 1st event is an Eco Fair to be held at the Perdana Botanical Garden in Kuala Lumpur where visitors are welcomed to experience Taiwanese products, participate in rope skipping and obstacle courses for a fun way to experience sustainable habits.

Visitors also stand the chance to win attractive prizes at the Fair and the organizer hopes that the activities will sow the seeds of environmental protection in more people. Sustainability should no longer be a vague concept people agree with, but an actionable lifestyle that people can embrace.

Taiwan Excellence Earth Month echoes in Malaysia, inspiring people to share photos of their green habits and embrace sustainable living.
