StorHub Group, the largest and longest-established self storage operator in Singapore, has acquired a majority stake in Malaysian self storage leader Flexi Storage. This also marks the rebranding of all Flexi Storage facilities to StorHub Self Storage Malaysia.
Flexi Storage was founded in 2015 by two Malaysian entrepreneurs, Desmond How and Alex Lee. The company operates 24/7 self storage facilities across Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, and Seri Kembangan.
StorHub Group operates 18 facilities in Singapore and has established presence in 15 cities including Australia, Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and now, Malaysia.
The group currently operates facilities spanning over 5.1 million sq. ft. of gross floor area (GFA) and more than 70,000 self storage units.
The acquisition of Flexi Storage is a strategic move for StorHub Group as it expands its presence in Malaysia. The Malaysian self storage market is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years due to factors such as urbanisation, lifestyle changes, and the increasing acceptance of self storage as an option.
StorHub Malaysia now has four facilities in operation, with the latest one located in Old Klang Road. The company offers self storage solutions for customers to enhance space at home and in offices to enjoy clutter-free living.
In celebration of the launch of its fourth facility, StorHub Malaysia is offering new customers free storage services for the first month and a 50% discount on the subsequent monthly rentals.
