Indo SMEThe Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KLSICCI) said the Goods and Services Tax (GST) has been well accepted by the local small and medium enterprises (SMEs). However, KLSICCI President, Datuk Dr V. Shanmughanathan said most of the SMEs need to better understand the entire process. He said for example, the SMEs know that they must register with the Royal Customers Department once their turnover hits the RM500,000 threshold. But they are still on the learning curve. The GST has been in force since April 1, 2015.
