Shopper360 Limited, a shopper marketing company, has introduced the fifth installment of the Retail Innovation Showcase (RIS). The 2023 regional showcase aims to demonstrate new retail technologies and shopper marketing trends that will impact the retail experience for future consumers.
With over 30 years’ experience in the industry, shopper360 is dedicated to providing comprehensive marketing and advertising solutions to assist brands to adapt to modern marketing trends and support current customer journeys.
The RIS event showcased fresh, new, and emerging retail technologies and shopper marketing trends discovered during the retail industry trade fair EuroShop 2023 held in Germany.
RIS kick-starts in Malaysia on 12-13 July, and will continue in Singapore on the 25th August and in Myanmar on 5th December. With experiential exhibits focusing on shopper communication, retail technology, and shopper marketing tools, the event is slated to become a key meeting point for creative and media agencies, distributors, brands, and retailers within the region.
Chew Sue Ann, Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director of shopper360 Limited highlights that the RIS event comes at a significant point where countries are eager to bounce back from the pandemic and rejuvenate retail consumer experiences.

The RIS event featured a wide array of booths with unique and interactive experiences whilst engaging with industry leaders and discovering cutting-edge technologies. With booths from retail, retail tech partners, FMGG, and non-FMGG brands, visitors can explore the event specific shopper communication demonstration area, digital game platform, and an exploratory activation area.
The event had a captivating line-up of speaker-sharing sessions from thought leaders across the region, all geared towards enhancing industry awareness and growth. Notable speaker sharing sessions include MDEC’s Head of Domestic Digital Investment Danesh Jothiprahasam who spoke on ‘Digital Innovation in Malaysian Context’, Riverse Co-Founder and President Rex Yeap and Kenneth Siow of Tencent Cloud International will be focusing on ‘Creating Extraordinary Customer Experience by Smart Retail Solutions of Tencent Cloud’.
Meanwhile, Shopperplus Malaysia’s General Manager Lee Jun Ling will be sharing insights on ‘Shopper Engagement and Conversion at Your Fingertips’, Potboy Group Chief Executive Officer Eddie Chew speaking on ‘The retail story of Potboy to Self Service Kiosks’, and Ipsos’ Chief Client Officer Pakee Charoenchanaporn sharing about ‘The Role of Physical Retail in an Increasingly Digital World’.
Throughout the showcase, visitors also had the opportunity to mingle and participate in the showcase’s various Q&A, networking, and happy hours sessions.
