Sarawak is now the key focus of both local and overseas investors.
Registering the highest investment at more than RM3 billion from January to February this year, it proved that the present government had the ability to manage the economy effectively.
According to Sarawak Minister of Industrial Development Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, the report by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) for the two aforementioned months showed RM2.89 billion being foreign investments, and RM144.5 million being domestic investments.
At present, Sarawak leads Perak (RM377 million), Selangor (RM366 million) and Penang (RM351 million), Amar said.
According to him, the high investments are an indication of the confidence investors have towards the present government. Amar is also the Minister of Resource Planning and Environment 11.
