Singapore-based fintech startup Qashier has successfully raised US$10 million in a Series A funding round, a testament to the burgeoning growth of the fintech sector. Co-led by Delivery Hero Ventures and IFP Securities, with participation from Antler Elevate and Cocoon Capital, this funding will empower Qashier to accelerate growth in its four Southeast Asian target markets, expand into new international territories, and fortify its product ecosystem.

As the digital payments landscape rapidly evolves across Southeast Asia, Qashier’s innovative solutions and commitment to merchant success position it as a frontrunner in the digital payments and point-of-sale (POS) arena.

Catering to businesses of all sizes and diverse industries, Qashier’s accessible and user-friendly tools have garnered a reputation for excellence.

Since its inception in 2019, Qashier has facilitated over US$1 billion worth of transactions for over 6,000 businesses in Southeast Asia through its integrated hardware and cloud-based software solutions.

The launch of the Qashier app in February 2023, a freemium POS and payment solution, witnessed significant traction with over 12,000 downloads within three days of its public beta release on the Google Android Play Store.

Qashier’s recent hardware offerings, including the flagship Qashier X2 smart POS terminal and the portable QashierXS, merge POS and payment functionalities in a single sleek device – a pioneering innovation in Southeast Asia.

Franklin Zhao Liang, co-founder and president of Qashier, emphasized the company’s dedication to providing forward-thinking solutions that anticipate customer needs, fueled by this new funding injection.

Qashier’s contributions extend to the events industry, delivering cashless solutions and payment acceptance for prominent events in the region. The company’s trajectory aligns with Delivery Hero Ventures’ vision, as Alex Browne, principal at Delivery Hero Ventures, highlights Qashier’s potential to become a premier multi-product provider for SMEs in the APAC region.

Currently with offices in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore, Qashier is poised to further innovate and expand its reach through ongoing research and development initiatives.
