Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s visit to Singapore today and on Tuesday will further boost ties between the two neighbouring countries, paving the way for more collaborations and further enhancing already-strong bilateral economic ties, according to Datuk Md. Hussin Nayan, who is Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Singapore, reports BERNAMA.
Hussin said that greater collaborative efforts in commercial interests facilitated by the two governments can be expected.
Najib is on an official working visit to Singapore and Iskandar Malaysia, Johor for two days, in conjunction with the 4th Malaysia-Singapore Leaders’ Retreat.
The Leaders’ Retreat is the highest-level bilateral forum for discussions on a range of bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest to Malaysia and Singapore.
Najib is accompanied by his wife; Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Johor Menteri Besar Datul Abdul Ghani Othman, a number of Cabinet ministers and senior government officials.
Leaders of both countries are also expected to review the progress of ongoing projects by Khazanah Nasional Bhd and Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd in Singapore and Iskandar Malaysia.
