Kuala Lumpur, 24 January 2022 – PC.com, Malaysia’s leading, and longest-running technology and youth-centric digital media platform organised this year’s PC.com 2021 Best Product of The Year nomination and selection process entirely online with over 23,000 votes pouring throughout the 1-month period.
This year was very special due to the pandemic and lockdowns restricting movement for many Malaysians, however once again in the true spirit of teamwork PC.com was able to coordinate and deploy the online voting system for all 48 categories and over 180 nominations.
Winners of the award were voted for by readers coming from PC.com’s 21 years of accumulated database which includes over 300 universities and polytechnics, government agencies, subscribers, IT companies, tech firms, multinationals, and the gaming community. The nominations were also extended to the subscribers of the sister media, the premier BusinessToday.
All announcements were made through social media, digital newsletter, Universities Social media pages, and our partner network reaching over 1 million fans and followers.
Themed ‘Towards A Digital Nation’, 2021 represents a year when technology played a very critical role in everyone’s lives all over the world. We also acknowledge its importance towards Malaysia’s own digital transformation agenda and how it will chart a new future for all of us.
So this year PC.com Award is Special and apt in recognising these brands, that is why we are proud to give the winners the homage they deserve.
We would like to congratulate the winners, special mention goes to Best Fixed Broadband Winner TM Unifi for their relentless contribution during the pandemic, Touch N Go ewallet for making contactless payment possible, they won the Best eWallet for 2021, not to mention Maxis for the seamless connectivity who received tremendous votes for Best Postpaid of The Year. Much gratitude goes to U Mobile for making connectivity affordable as they took home the Best Prepaid of The Year.
PC.com honours all 49 winners in their respective categories and gives much appreciation to all nominees, you all delivered when it mattered most!
We would also like to give a mention to Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation and MAGIC for their participation this year, under the Special Category Award.
The Special category awards were for Start-up of The Year which went to DoctorOnCall and Most Promising Start-up which went to Naruli.
