Residents of Kuching can now start the new year with a new broadband service powered by the latest 4G technology with P1 making its services available in some areas starting tomorrow. P1 by Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is South East Asia’s leading and one of the world’s first 4G service provider with over 505,000 subscribers.
P1 is making its services available to 3000 households and commercial buildings around Padungan Bazaar, Sekama Bazaar, Jalan Foochow and Bormill Estate area. It plans to cover 60% of Kuching’s population by mid next year, and further extend its coverage to Miri, Sibu and Bintulu by September 2013.
P1’s initial service offering will be its ForHome™ and ForBiz™ plans, which are fixed access 4G wireless broadband services that come with WiFi and phone service. As opposed to fixed line broadband available in Kuching, it is a plug-and-play broadband solution that can be activated in an hour without the need for service installation and wiring. It is also a portable solution that can be used in more than one location as long as there is network coverage.
P1’s 4G technology strength coupled with its simple philosophy of “giving more” be it product benefits, value for money, or customer service enabled the service provider to bag GoMobile’s Best Home Wireless Broadband Provider 2012 award.
