Residents in Sabah now have an additional choice for broadband services with the entry of P1 Malaysia’s first and largest 4G service provider with over 400,000 subscribers.

P1 announced earlier this year that it will commit RM30 million to provide East Malaysians with 4G broadband service with phase one network deployment focused on Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau.

Chief Executive Officer of P1, Michael Lai said, “We are truly excited to be able to serve high speed broadband services to East Malaysians. 4G broadband technology brings the Internet superhighway to the people. With our plug and play broadband services, you can do away with wires and the hassle of installation, plus it has the added advantage of being nomadic even for fixed-wireless home access.

Residents of Kota Kinabalu who are interested to find out more and experience P1 broadband service can visit P1’s first centre at Lintas Square which officially opened yesterday on 11 July. Derek Chee, P1’s Channel Sales Director, who was at the centre opening said that another P1 centre will soon be opened in December to serve Kota Kinabalu residents.
