The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) and The Fullerton Hotel Singapore on Monday announced the second annual series of the IISS Fullerton Lecture, to be held on June 27.

The upcoming IISS Fullerton Lecture speaker will be Singapore’s Minister for Trade & Industry Lim Hng Kiang, who will talk on “Trade for Growth: Seizing Opportunities and Staying Competitive”.

Building on the success of the inaugural IISS Fullerton Lecture Series in 2012, the IISS and The Fullerton Hotel look forward to an exciting new roster of distinguished speakers in 2013.

The IISS Fullerton Lecture Series will comprise eight lectures a year on questions of geo-economics, international law, foreign policy, security strategy and transnational challenges ranging from terrorism to climate change, conflict resolution, international reconciliation and domestic political change.

Luminaries from the IISS Fullerton Lecture Series 2012 include Ban Ki-moon, William Hague, and Robert Zoellick.

IISS-Asia eExecutive director, Dr Tim Huxley said: “The Fullerton Lectures have quickly established themselves as the pre-eminent platform in Singapore for high-level addresses on both economics and security by political leaders and other internationally influential figures.”
