The footwear industry’s leading trade fair will kick off on 16-19 September 2018, organised by Assocalzaturifici, the Italian footwear manufacturers’ association. Held in Milan, Italy at the Fiera Milano (Rho) exhibition centre, MICAM will feature the pinnacle of footwear fashion and design.
The 86th edition of the event is themed ‘ENVY’, replacing the previous theme of ‘VANITY’ which centers around Dante’s Inferno. Where the spirit of envy entwines with the alluring fascination for a luxury surrounded by a bed of earthly bliss, Spring/Summer 2019 trends in women’s, men’s and kids’ shoes will be previewed at the event
MICAM is not limited to Italian or European designers, but is open to all worldwide players. Designers from Southeast Asia are especially encouraged to participate in the Emerging Designers Area, but must first apply and go through a selection process. In collaboration with the KL Fashion Week and other shows in the region, MICAM is not only promoting local designers in Europe, but also connecting Italian brands with local buyers and consumers.
Participation is not open to the public, but restricted to manufacturers, distributors, agents and representatives of footwear and the leather total look. More information can be found at www.themicam.com.
