Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Malaysia is considered a bright spot among the few nations in the world in the present uncertain global economy.
He said this was expressed by many influential people who attended the five-day World Economic Forum 2013 in Davos, Switzerland.
“This is proof of the success of the transformation agenda which we pursued,” he told a crowd of over 10,000 rakyat who were at the KL International Airport’s Bunga Raya complex to welcome him and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, home from Davos on Sunday.
The reception was held to show the support for his humanitarian visit to Gaza Strip prior to his departure for Davos.
Najib said the ‘Malaysia Night’ held at the WEF also received an overwhelming response, attracting over 1,000 people who were interested to know more about the country.
“I told these people that myself, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and the cabinet minister would work hard to achieve the Wawasan 2020,” he said.
