The Global Branding Awards 2016 was aimed to honour excellence in performance and rewarding companies across different sectors. The awards were given to acknowledge the brands which strive for fineness and provide a platform for recognition. The awards also aimed to identify, create awareness about the significance of exceptional service delivery and reward the performance with the ultimate global recognition.
19th May 2016 was the glamorous evening at The Place @ One City, Subang Jaya when Global Branding Awards 2016 honoured the crème de la crème of global brands. It was celebrated as a mark of recognition toward the achievements acquired by the brands and as catalyst of growth for country’s economic driver.
Entrepreneurs and leaders who built the brands were honoured for their development to leadership brand and brand leadership, while emerging brands upgrade their existing brands.
Gracing the Awards Gala Dinner were YB Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development as the guest of honour with His Royal Highness Tengku Sulaiman Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj, Tengku Panglima DiRaja Selangor, who is the Royal Patron.
Also present was Mr Neil Foo, Chief Executive Officer of Secretariat for the Advancement of Malaysian Entrepreneurs (SAME), Prime Minister Department; Mr. Shen Wei, Secretary General of Secretary General of All China Federation Industry Commerce; Mr. Greg Parry, Global Brands Council Member and Mr. Andrew Todd, Global Brands Council Member.
The prestigious event was jointly organised by The Leaders International Magazine, a high profiled business magazine based in Malaysia and Global Brands Council. Achievements in over 30 categories were recognised and honoured with its unique award of which some of them included; Global Brands Icon, Global Brands Large Companies, Global Brands SME, Global Brands Product Branding and many others.
For the award recipients, the Global Branding Awards 2016 was the beginning of an exciting new journey and a motivating factor to continue striving to lead and it is certainly something for other emerging brands to emulate upon.
