The issue of sustainability is one of the most pressing problems facing the world today, and the Malaysian government is putting green energy and green buildings at the forefront of the country’s transformation policies for various industries.

Taiwan Excellence, representing the best in Taiwanese innovation and manufacturing, participates in ARCHIDEX 2024 with the theme “Greener Together” as it focuses on building-related green solutions for a better tomorrow.

The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion will feature 21 green products from 11 award winning companies with the aim of creating a new era of bilateral sustainable cooperation between Taiwan and Malaysia.

The PRISM ePaper also incorporated into the design provides a dynamic display for the logos and other visual assets to create a visual attraction for the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion. James Chang, Director of the Economic Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, said during the opening press conference that Malaysia’s robust manufacturing industry accounts for a high proportion of the country’s GDP and is a strong contributor to the export figures.

Many factories are urgently looking to improve their energy efficiency, and he is confident that cooperation between Taiwan and Malaysia industry players can give rise to a more resilient green building ecosystem here in Malaysia.

The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion will arrange a product sharing on the second day of the event to highlight some of the key products to expand green business opportunities. Featured products include the PRISM ePaper from E INK Holdings that brings dynamic colour changing options to building walls; SAUBERAIR Flat Picture Frame Air Purifier that features an advanced purification system wrapped in beautiful art; AMA TECH’s mobile tank fan that drastically improve indoor circulation; and WATERSON’s robust 3-in-1 stainless steel closer hinges that have been tested to millions of operating cycles.

Simply Green, Pure Innovation

This year, the International Trade Administration and the TAITRA have created an innovative pavilion design that evokes the imagery of Taiwan as a kingdom of mountains and forests. Working with the concept of Recycle, Reuse and Reduce, the organizers have for the first time creatively used recyclable materials such as aluminum extrusions combined with mesh canvas in its booth design to greatly reduce the thrash generated without sacrificing the aesthetics.

Ecological Mural Bridges a Sustainable Tomorrow

Building upon the green theme, renowned Malaysian artist Kenji Chai, famous for his nature and animal-themed art, was at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion to present the mural he drew at SMK SS17 in Subang.

The two-story tall mural features the Malayan tiger and Taiwan Excellence mascot bear and was created to raise awareness for environmental protection. This beautiful work of art further cement Taiwan Excellence’s focus on environmental protection and its hope for sustainable development between Taiwan and Malaysia.

The ARCHIDEX is Southeast Asia’s largest and most influential building materials exhibition and will run from the 3rd to 6th of July 2024 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion is located in Hall 2, Booth 2L180.
