Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Bhd (CGC) in collaboration with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI) will host the third edition of knowledge sharing event on April 22, 2017, focusing on Sharing Economy.
Sharing Economy is an economic model in which individuals were able to borrow or rent assets owned by someone else, CGC said in a statement today.
“With this platform, the customers can easily rent out, for example, cars, apartments and bikes by using the Internet,” it said.
Datuk Michael Kang, the national president of the SME Association of Malaysia has said, expansion of the sharing economy has created huge impact on business operations as well as work. The development in technology has certainly changed things for SME owners. The sharing economy provides a fantastic opportunity for small business owners to cut costs and make the most of their time.
“One example is that SMEs can utilise sharing delivery services such as Zyllem Malaysia for their delivery at lower costs. It’s more effective compared to running your own logistics department Traditional SMEs must change the ways of thinking and their business models in order to make good use of the opportunities provided by the sharing economy. If not, they risk being undermined and eliminated from business.”
