CB Richard Ellis (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (CBRE), an international property consultancy, has inked an agreement with American restaurant chain, The Johnny Rockets Group, Inc., to represent and introduce the brand to potential markets in the Southeast Asian region during a ceremony at CBRE’s offices in Kuala Lumpur.

Present at the signing were John Sigler, Vice President, CB Richard Ellis (Malaysia) and Steve Devine, President, International Development, The Johnny Rockets Group, Inc.

Speaking about why Johnny Rockets chose to work with CBRE’s Malaysian office, Devine said, “Malaysia, as a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural country, is well-suited to the Johnny Rockets experience. Johnny Rockets represents the best America has offered throughout the past 80 years, so our wholesome fun, classic comfort foods and timeless music make our restaurants a common – and very positive – point of reference for people all over the world. With ten restaurants operating in the Philippines and South Korea, and one opening soon in Indonesia, we believe our success in Malaysia will contribute to our growing brand awareness and restaurant growth throughout Asia.”

“We recognise that the modern retail world is globalising rapidly and markets such as Malaysia are incredibly attractive to new international brands from Europe, Australia and America,” said Sigler.

Explaining further, they have recognised a growing demand amongst international retail brands looking to enter Malaysia and indeed the whole of Asia, to have access to first class and impartial advice. Along with Johnny Rockets, they are also exclusively retained in Malaysia by a number of other international retailers whilst assisting several more who are also preparing to enter the region.
