Canon Marketing Malaysia is putting its technology in the right place – in the hands of aspiring content creators and photographers, as seen through its renewed collaboration with KidZania.

With Canon PowerShot ZOOM and Canon PowerShot PICK, the digital imaging world is brought to life at KidZania under their latest Inspiration through Exposure theme, offering young participants the chance to experience technology at its best.

With KidZania’s forte being experiential learning for children, Canon said in a statement that the partnership allows it to create a channel in which vital soft skills can be tapped while fuelling the minds of young ones with technologically driven artistry.

“This avenue will allow young and aspiring talents to hone their confidence for this 21st century-art-of-expression given the social media generation they belong to, where creativity thrives through content creation,” it said.

As a leading digital imaging provider, the company utilises its expertise and resources to empower youngsters with the knowledge of visual storytelling. Its resources and platforms support the current generation by providing a thriving space in which they can engage creatively with others while opening a world of possibilities for themselves. Commenting on the partnership with KidZania, marketing manager of Imaging Communication Business (ICB) Division at Canon Malaysia, Melvin Lo said,

In a recent CSR activity conducted by the organisation, 24 children and teenagers from Yayasan Chow Kit were hosted to a day of fun-filled activities at its establishment in KidZania.

They had the opportunity to learn the basics of photography and explore the fields of birding with PowerShot ZOOM (a unique super zoom monocular camera) and vlogging through PowerShot PICK (an AI-powered camera for video content creation).
