Ata Plus Sdn Bhd has announced the appointment of Karen Puah as its new Chief Operating Officer today.
Puah will be heading the new role of COO at the equity crowdfunding (ECF) platform, in line with its expansion plans and division of roles among its top leadership.
According to Elain Lockman, CEO and co-founder of Ata Plus, Puah’s role as COO will entail driving sales and partnerships, as well as access to investor channels. She will also be driving value-added services for ECF issuers such as legal and marketing services.
“We are thrilled to have Karen onboard as she brings to the table a wealth of experience, knowledge and network within the Fintech ecosystem and beyond. Karen’s appointment is timely as Ata Plus is strengthening our position and broadening our footprints in Malaysia as well as initiating our expansion regionally,” said Lockman.

Puah brings experience in marketing and communications from previous roles, including stints at Sedania Innovator Bhd and Razer Fintech. She was also elected as president of The Fintech Association of Malaysia (FAOM), having previously held the vice-president position for two terms.
