AMD has announced the launch of the Server Platform Solutions Engineering (SPSE) facility in Penang, Malaysia that can deliver end-to-end engineering solutions, with a focus on design, validation, characterisation and customer-enablement across AMD’s portfolio of EPYC server processors.

As AMD continues to develop its capabilities in the data centre and embedded solutions space, the launch of the SPSE-MY facility highlights the company’s dedication to helping to solve some of the challenges in the chip industry with leading technologies.

The AMD SPSE Malaysia facility will also work closely with customers and partners to provide both short term and long-term solutions.

By leveraging complementary strengths and areas of expertise, AMD said in a statement that it will collaboratively find effective solutions for the end-users.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be expanding our presence in Malaysia,” said Lau Wai Shin, site lead, AMD Server Engineering Malaysia. “The Penang region has incredible engineering talent, and we anticipate this strategic move will be a key driver for future server engineering advancements for our customers, partners and the broader ecosystem.
