Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd has partnered with Samsung and Google to provide Alliance Bank Visa credit cardholders with greater convenience in mobile payments. This allows Alliance Bank cardholders, to add their Alliance Bank Visa credit cards to their Samsung Pay or Google Pay wallets.

Card holders will be able to make contactless payments at millions of merchants from more than 100 countries worldwide, including the award-winning Visa Platinum Virtual Credit Card (VCC), which incorporates the Dynamic Card Number (DCN) technology that enables users to generate unique, temporary card numbers for single-use or subscription-based payments.

This strategic collaboration underscores the Bank’s commitment to delivering seamless, secure, and innovative payment solutions that cater to the evolving needs of its customers. Powered by Near Field Communication (“NFC”) technology, Samsung Pay and Google Pay allows Alliance Bank cardholders to make secure, contactless payments with Android mobile or wearable devices.

Google Pay can be used by Alliance Bank cardholders whether they are shopping online, browsing in-store, or using public transport, by simply tapping and paying with their device.

This partnership revolutionises the way Alliance Bank cardholders transact, extending the capabilities of the VCC from online payments to in-store purchases. With Samsung Pay and Google Pay, the bank provides a versatile and enhanced payment platform that meets the rising demand for flexible mobile payment solutions, especially among digitally savvy customers and those seeking secure, flexible payment options.

During the Campaign Period from 9 January 2025 to 28 February 2025, Alliance Bank cardholders who add their card to Samsung Wallet will receive an RM5 e-voucher at selected merchants.

Additionally, the top 15 Alliance Bank card users spenders using Samsung Pay during this period will each win attractive Samsung devices, including Galaxy Z Fold 6 (256GB), Galaxy Z Flip 6 (256GB), Galaxy Watch 7 (40mm), and many more.

Apart from that, Alliance Bank Visa Credit Card users will also enjoy an exclusive Buy-One-Free-One ice cream scoop offer at when they pay using Samsung Pay or Google Pay at Inside Scoop stores, the offer is valid until March 2025.

The introduction of Samsung Pay and Google Pay aligns with Alliance Bank’s broader strategy to enhance its digital offerings and deepen customer engagement. In FY2024, 40% of new customers were acquired through digital channels, particularly within the emerging affluent segments.

The VCC with Dynamic Card Number, launched in April 2023, has gained significant traction, with over 70,000 new cards approved, underscoring the strong demand for the Bank’s innovative, digital-first solutions.
