Vietjet is set to further enhance its presence in Malaysia’s aviation sector with the launch of its new daily service between Kuala Lumpur and Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital, beginning 28 November 2024.

This highly anticipated connection promises to strengthen the growing cultural, economic, and tourism links between the two nations, benefiting both leisure and business travelers.

The new route will see daily flights, with flight VJ906 departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) to Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) at 12:40 PM (local time). The return flight, VJ905, will leave Hanoi for Kuala Lumpur at 7:20 AM (local time). The route will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, offering passengers a comfortable and efficient travel experience.

Tickets for this new service are now available through Vietjet’s official website, mobile app, and authorised agents worldwide, with exciting promotions on offer. On 10 October 2024, travelers can take advantage of discounts of up to 100% on Eco tickets using the promo code VJ1010, valid for travel between 1 January and 22 May 2025 .

Additionally, tickets starting from just RM166 (all-in, one-way price) are available every Friday across Vietjet’s flight network, including the new Kuala Lumpur-Hanoi route.

For those seeking added comfort, Deluxe fares are discounted by up to 50% for travel until 20 November 2024, offering perks like up to 40kg of free checked baggage, free seat selection, and free flight changes.

Hanoi is Vietjet’s second Vietnamese destination from Kuala Lumpur, following the success of its Kuala Lumpur-Ho Chi Minh City route, which has been operating daily since 2016. Malaysia has become one of the top six international visitor sources for Vietnam in 2024, further highlighting the growing interest in travel between the two countries.

As a key Southeast Asian city with over 1,000 years of history, Hanoi offers a wealth of attractions, including the Old Quarter, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and Hoan Kiem Lake. Its blend of natural beauty, rich history, and culinary delights makes it a must-visit destination for tourists.

In addition to the Kuala Lumpur-Hanoi route, Vietjet is expanding its flight network across Asia. Starting 12 December 2024, the airline will resume its Ho Chi Minh City-Tainan service, further bolstering its Vietnam-Taiwan connections. Vietjet will also increase flight frequencies on several key routes linking Hanoi with Nagoya, Siem Reap, and Busan, as well as Ho Chi Minh City with Vientiane and Bali, beginning 27 October 2024.
