Valuing IP Sdn Bhd, an intellectual property valuation specialist and Malaysian tech start-up, has announced the launch of its proprietary IP valuation software for the ASEAN market.
The software enables companies of all sizes and industries to identify and unlock the value of their IP assets, helping them to pursue growth ambitions.
IP is becoming increasingly important for productivity and economic growth, but financing remains a key challenge for many businesses. Despite efforts to protect their IP, businesses often struggle to commercially exploit it due to difficulties in securing financing.
The Malaysian government introduced the National IP Policy in 2007 to promote suitable valuation methods and rules to facilitate the commercialisation of IP, but more needs to be done to make IP financing accessible and affordable.
Valuing IP’s software democratises IP valuation by automating the process, generating a report within three to seven days, and making it available on a one-off or long-term subscription basis from as low as RM6,000.
The software is internationally compliant with valuation standards, and its launch represents a significant advancement in how IP assets can be valued and transacted.
Valuing IP said it is in talks with policy makers and companies from various countries, and aims to raise RM8 million at its second-round funding to expand its software and digital platform’s offerings, including an IP marketplace portal for IP tradings.
Interested parties can contact the Valuing IP team for a software demonstration, or to discuss partnerships, collaborations, and investment opportunities.
