Achieving significant improvements in production efficiency while at the same time reducing costs trigger metalworking makers to adopt smart manufacturing practices. Taiwan, with expertise in high-precision cutting machines, power presses and machine tools for industrial automation, urges Malaysian manufacturers to move toward with industry 4.0 together.
In a bid to be a key global supplier in the smart machinery industry in the post-pandemic world, Taiwan Excellence, the symbol of Taiwan’s most innovative products, teamed up with the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) to share valuable insights during a “Toward Metal Processing 4.0” webinar on 9 November 2022.
Both FMM Digital Economy Working Committee’s vice chairman Dr. Helena Eian Yeut Lan and Taiwan Trade Center of KL director Eva Peng expressed optimism about Malaysia and Taiwan could create more opportunities for partnerships in the future Metal Processing 4.0 era by leveraging Taiwan’s experiences.
Three winners of the Taiwan Excellence Award – AXILE, AXISCO, and HONOR SEIKI shared their iconic products and solutions during the webinar.
AXILE introduced its industry 4.0 management solution called “ART” which can realise real-time monitoring of production process, machine tools and components condition to improve production performance and reduce power consumption.
AXISCO presented its servo broaching machine which uses servo motor to effectively reduce power losses. The HMI interface can simplify operation procedures, and make operators approach high precision with ease.
HONOR’s vertical lathes and aviation processing solutions are equipped with a smart cutter management system to massively reduce the time to change cutters and improve production accuracy and efficiency.
