Malaysia, 13 January 2022 – Startups innovating through financial services and digitalising financial solutions make up the 10 finalists shortlisted for the Alpha Startups™ MyFintech Week 2022.

The Alpha Startups™ programme, co-organised by 1337 Ventures and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). It is supported by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), an accelerator programme supporting MyFintech Week 2022.

The programme seeks to develop and showcase fintech solutions particularly in the areas of Financial Health, Inclusion and SME Digitalisation. This will help propel Malaysia’s sustainability agenda forward in a post-pandemic era.

“The top 10 are focused on the two challenge statements in this accelerator; SME Digitalisation and Financial Health & Inclusion”, shared by Bikesh Lakhmichand, 1337 Ventures CEO & Founding Partner.

“I’m confident that the audience who will be present at the demo day will find these startups fascinating. We can’t wait to raise funds for some of the teams by the end of the Alpha Startups™ MyFintech Week 2022 programme.”, he added.

The top 10 will now participate in the Alpha Startups™ MyFintech Week Demo Day to showcase their business plan to an audience of potential investors, corporates, government agencies and industry leaders.

The top 2 teams will have 1337 Ventures invest RM150,000 and help them raise their current funding round with an additional RM 50,000 cash prize from BNM and MDEC.

These are the shortlisted Malaysian startups that will be pitching live on MyFintech Week 2022 during the virtual demo day:
